Interest in the topic of throwing in Australian cricket began when I was doing my PhD research on Aborigines in Australian cricket and extended after I had written a couple of essays for the English historical journal, Cricket Lore. The book drew the interest of three publishers but following letdowns was produced as a hardback limited edition of 100. A second edition was commercially published in 2004 by Elvis Press.
