This was my first non-sporting book. Photographer Adam Lee has taken modern pictures matching them against historic photographs of the city. My role as the author of the text was to produce an 8,000 word introductory essay on the historic development of the built form of the city and then to write lengthy captions for the photographs. The book called upon my knowledge of city history gained from working as Oral Historian for the Adelaide City Council in the early 1990s. The book was published by Axiom.
