This is the second in a series of booklets containing views of Adelaide Oval. It recognises the expanding use of the ground beyond cricket and football, especially for patriotic purposes during the First World War. The completion of St Peter’s Cathedral in 1902 and the erection of the main scoreboard in 1911 led photographers to feature them more often as pictorial backgrounds.
