I completed this statistical biography for Nigel Hart after his death in 1997. Nigel had done 90 per cent of the original research and writing. My main role in assisting the book to publication was in editing the text, checking and consolidating the statistics. The book was published by the Association of Cricket Statisticians and Historians as No. 76 of the Famous Cricketer Series and Nigel originally intended to complete a larger project on the Crawford cricketing family.
